If you re at all Euphoria-literate, you probably know Jacob Elordi better as his onscreen alter ego Nate Jacobs, who...well, let s just say he s a complicated young man. Elordi, however, has comparatively simple tastes; as long as he s got his dog (who he describes as "a natural actress"), an ice cream cone in his hand, and a view of Los Angeles s iconic Hollywood sign, he s happy.
Recently, Vogue caught up with the 24-year-old, Brisbane-born actor to talk about everything from his humble L.A. beginnings to his feelings on his Euphoria character to the optimal way to make a cup of coffee. Next, Elordi takes us on a tour of his art collection, showing off several abstract (and extremely cool) paintings by a talented friend and a vintage Japanese Rebel Without a Cause poster that Elordi describes as his "prize possession."
"I really got into film noir was when I was supposed to play Orson Welles in a movie," explains Elordi, eloquently describing what he loves so much about the genre (which he calls "one of the sexiest genres of film that there is.") He s got dreams of making a film noir of his own, but for now, he ll settle for walking to the locally beloved Los Feliz Theater through the L.A. sunset with a chocolate waffle cone in his hand, stopping to smell—and photograph—the flowers on the way. "I m off to the pictures," he explains, and be honest...wouldn t you give anything to join him?
