The following article contains major spoilers for Emily in Paris Season 5.
Thank the lord, my favorite TV show is finally back. The only downside of Darren Star’s frequently bizarre, oddly plotted, outlandishly outfitted Emily in Paris is that I have to binge a season as soon as it drops—and then reluctantly face the fact that I have to wait another year or so before the next. Here’s something to occupy me in the meantime, though: the 27 most urgent questions we’re left with after the bombshell finale, which I’ll be pondering until the return of our beloved hapless expat.
- Wait, so is Season 6 going to be Emily in Greece?!
- Is our gal definitely going to Greece on this invitation?
- Will it cross over with Mindy’s Mykonos bachelorette somehow?
- On that note, is Mindy actually going to go through with this wedding? I think not?
- If she does, what on earth is she gonna wear?
- Will she also sing slash do some kind of Crazy Horse cabaret routine at her own wedding?
- And what about Emily’s made of honor look?!
- Will Alfie show up to object at the altar?
- I still don’t really understand why Mindy and Alfie’s relationship is a thing?
- Is anyone else kinda excited to see Princess Jane turn Agence Grateau into some low-culture spon-con hellscape?
- It’s wild to me that Minnie Driver wants to remain on this show? Good for her.
- What’ll happen with Laurent’s debts?
- Why, exactly, is Sylvie’s mum wrapped up in all that, again?
- Will that divorce actually happen?
- Also, did anyone else almost get emotional when Sylvie nearly cried?
- Is Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu’s acting too good for this show?
- And how does she get hotter and hotter every season?
- Is it just me, or has this private chef job rapidly aged Gabriel?
- Is Jonathan Cake auditioning to be on a future season of The White Lotus?
- Why is Sylvie so invested in Emily’s love life, though? I don’t really get it.
- Why wouldn’t Emily want that Solitano life? It honestly looks idyllic.
- This is quite a wholesome note for Emily and Marcello to end on… which makes me think maybe that storyline isn’t totally over?
- What if he just decides to come back to Paris next season?
- Also, sorry, but why was Marcello keeping Nico’s ring for him?
- And even if he was, why wouldn’t he slip him the ring earlier, rather than pulling it out in that moment?
- Also, did Nico have to propose on a gondola and in front of their friends?
- After all this, will Emily just end up with Gabriel anyway?
