Alexa Chung Does a Pop of Red While Eating Pintxos

Alexa Chung had a busy fashion week, including a surprise appearance on the runway of Simone Rocha’s fall 2025 show. For that occasion, the model, designer, television presenter, and self-described “geriatric It girl” wore a Barbarella-esque faux furry bra top, an oversized leather jacket, and thickly fringed black skirt. Now out the other side of London’s glut of shows and starry events, Chung slipped into a wardrobe staple favorite, and held a little get together with some pals and industry peers at a neighborhood favorite.

On Tuesday (February 26), Chung brought guests to Tollington’s Fish Bar in North London to celebrate The Edit by Alexa collection with British brand Barbour—famed for their classic barn jackets, cozy knits, and checks. It’s her second collaboration with Barbour. Chung herself opted for the Barbour X Alexa Lizzy showerproof jacket in a scarlet red, a silhouette that very much speaks to Chung’s collection of chic outerwear through the years. She also wore a thick black, green, and red striped knit jumper over a slinky black slip dress, with sheer black tights, and black pumps. A pop of red, the British classic car coat silhouette, and a heritage brand—all very Alexa Chung.

Guests for the evening at the British fish and chip shop turned Spanish tapas bar included Sienna Miller, Tish Weinstock, Joséphine de la Baume, Alexis Taylor, Tess McMillan, and Celestine Cooney, who drank engronis and martinis and snacked on pintxos (a style of snacks and bites from the Basque Country) like boquerones and marinated peppers, before a dinner that included whole seabass, battered prawns, and what may be the best chips in London, Tollington’s chips bravas. (This writer can corroborate that, having immediately ordered seconds of the chip wedges smothered in the sweet, smokey, paprika-heavy sauce on one recent visit).

The rest of Chung’s edit features plenty more outwear, as well as a tartan gilet, stripped knits, and a wedged wellington boot—all speaking to Chung’s own personal style, with a campaign shot by Tim Walker that was inspiration by Chung’s festival looks through the years. (Ah, to be at Glastonbury in the early ’00s again).
