Anok Yai was already a shining star, but the supermodel managed to shine even brighter at the Met Gala 2024. For fashion’s biggest night, Yai donned a full-body gem jumpsuit designed by Swarovski.
In three striking shades of blue, the ombre look seems to embody the water that allows a luscious garden to bloom—with crystals sprinkled along her chest, resembling individual droplets. 98,000 Swarovski gems on her body (to be exact) covered her from head to toe—even adorning her hands and toes. If that were not enough sparkle to catch attention on the carpet, Yai wore 200 carats in diamonds to match—statement earrings, necklace, and ring were the ultimate finishing touches.
Yai’s glam continued the just-dipped vibe. Artist Sheika Daley kept makeup looked dewy and luminous—with just the right amount of highlighter to create a lit-from-within glow, and ensure her visage shined when the light hit. Her glowing skin was then accented with a perfectly placed beauty mark on her cheek. With a nude lip, her eyes were the star of her look. She donned a smokey wing with a beautiful inner corner highlight using a white, silver eyeshadow. For hair, Yai sported a slick pixie with a kiss curl in a rich, chocolatey hue thanks to Jawara.
Safe to say, Yai’s look was one of the most memorable of the night. And after setting the bar so high for the carpet, we can’t wait to see what she wears to the after parties.
