Iconic brunette Angelina Jolie stepped out in New York on Wednesday night with a noticeably lighter mane. Showcasing a new blonde hair refresh for spring, Jolie, the ultimate beauty chameleon, was leaving her Atelier Jolie store in Manhattan–no doubt thinking about her next drop.
More of a rich and buttery toffee than Park Avenue blonde, Jolie’s glossy new hair color – accentuated by a bouncy blow dry–looked the epitome of health and (ahem) wealth. Her chunky layers with smooth and glossy ends were the perfect canvas for that refreshed–and impossibly springy–shade.
Notably, this isn t the first time the multi-hyphenate as gone blonde. We ve seen her similar shades for her role in 1999 s Girl, Interrupted and 2020 s Come Away, as well as on the red carpet.
Keeping colored hair as shiny and glossy as possible requires maintenance. In the past, Jolie has used Hask Argan oil, a brand known for its effective treatments for damaged hair. Such products are essential to have on hand if, like Jolie, you’ve been gradually taking your hair lighter over a series of months.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen Jolie with blonde hair. When her Atelier Jolie collaboration with Chloé was announced last summer, Jolie’s hair was significantly lighter. Before Christmas she was sporting an ombré look: lighter ends with darker root stretch. Now, it seems, she’s fully embracing the blonde bombshell effect.
