The 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards is bound to be different. It has a new, cooler locale in the Brooklyn Museum, and an incredibly cool host in Issa Rae. And as the nominees and honorees announced tonight prove, American fashion’s governing body is taking a new look at what it means to be a part of the fashion community. More women designers are represented, more designers of color, and, yes, even Supreme is in the mix.
