The 2024 Olympics may be tennis star Coco Gauff s first ever, but already, the 20-year-old is a star. After the tennis champion kicked off the Paris event at the opening ceremony carrying the American flag alongside Lebron James, she hit the court for her first major Olympic game and came out with a win against Austrailia s Ajla Tomljanović.

For her debut, Gauff wore a set by New Balance that featured a slightly cropped tank with a red and blue gradient design. The top matched her pleated blue tennis skirt (which came complete with red shorts underneath). She also wore a blue head and arm bands, and a white bow in her hair. Her red New Balance sneakers are from the collection she created with the brand.

After her win, Gauff s classic tennis fit took on a whole new meaning as she proudly pointed to the American flag that was emblazoned on her chest and back.

In March, Gauff told Vogue in her cover story that she had a “vision thing” on the notes app on her phone which included an Olympics win. “I would say the biggest things on there are to win another Slam, and a medal at the Olympics,” she said. “I ll be completely honest; I don t really care what event it is in. I feel like gold, silver, or bronze, whatever medal it is, is one of those things; it doesn t matter."

After her debut and win, Coco Gauff will now face Argentina’s Lourdes Carle in Round 2.
