While there’s plenty joy to be found in winter’s cozy cashmere and chic shearling, there’s only so much creative bundling that happens before the seasonal blues kick in and uniform dressing takes over. It’s little surprise then that right before Fashion Month begins in February, the Vogue team shifts its gaze to the newness of spring, and the trends that emerge along with it to anchor their transitional wardrobes.
Our spring fashion trend report offers a detailed guide to the overarching themes of the season—but I was most curious to know which trends, micro and macro welcome, captured the hearts of my very stylish colleagues. The collections and key looks that resonated most with them offer a glimpse into their personal style, and their answers were nothing short of invigorating.
We’ll start with an actual palette cleanser, as the color wheel seems to be inverted for spring, moving many of us away from red and burgundy to embrace electrifying, Yves Klein blues and refreshing pastels of the cotton candy and buttermilk variety. Others are stepping firmly into a new print era, seeking out gingham and plaid patterns of all checks and sizes. Mod minis from resort are juxtaposed by spring’s fluid, organic shapes and strong leather outerwear. (Read between the lines and you’ll find this season is all about personality dressing.)

Fresh Colors
I don’t know what is happening to me but I want to wear sheer pink and butter yellow all of a sudden. Not sure if it’s the mid January blues, or the fact that the spring 2025 collections have started to trickle into my new arrivals pages and feeds with the shades…however I’m finding pale pinks and yellows from not only minimalist-friendly labels like Khaite, Toteme, and The Garment, but also Chanel, Miu Miu, Alaia, Fendi, and Ferragamo. In light and wispy fabrics, these shades are approachably sweet for spring, and will complement any wardrobe full of neutrals surprisingly well, including my own. —Madeline Fass, senior shopping market editor

New Business Codes
Each season, there seems to be some new answer to the age-old question: What to wear to work that’s equally smart and stylish? According to the spring runways, the spotlight is on fresh proportions and silhouettes, like super high-waist trousers and clean-lined pencil skirts to oversized blazers and polished pointed-toe pumps. I am especially invigorated by this trend given that it’s ultimately how I dress day-to-day–classic, but with the volume turned slightly up. Below, I’m shopping pieces straight from the runway–think those from Another Tomorrow, Bottega Veneta, and Victoria Beckham–to the high-street’s take. Electric Blues
With all due respect to red and burgundy, I m ready for some more lively color in my wardrobe. While I m partial to neutrals, spring 2025 had an abundance of cobalt, azure, and—yes—cerulean blues that I m inclined to add to my closet. —Hannah Jackson, fashion writer
Fluid Shapes and Proportions
First it was the artful top that permeated my wardrobe throughout fall and winter. For spring, I m looking to carry it over as the weather gets warmer. There s something so mysteriously alluring and sexy to me about a fluid, liquid-like shape that skims over the body. Will I float away? Am I magical? Leather Weather
Jackets are the item I own the most of, so arguably, I don t need another but they have been my constant companion over the years. Except during spring. Collections deliver in February March when it s still very much jacket weather, but most brands bounce into dresses, florals, and linens without jackets in sight.
