A Très Chic Trio: Elie Top’s Cocktail and Jewelry Presentation; Mytheresa.com and JJ Martin’s Fete; and a Colorful Opening for Missoni in Paris

Come couture Fashion Week, a marathon of fetes takes over Paris. The first stop in last night’s packed party agenda? Galerie Mitterrand in Paris’s third arrondissement, where Lanvin’s costume jewelry designer Elie Top presented his first collection, “Mécaniques Célestes.” Guests included designers Alber Elbaz and Haider Ackermann, French fashion insiders Emmanuelle Alt and Inès de la Fressange, and style icons Marisa Berenson and Catherine Deneuve, who all gathered in the gallery’s courtyard while sipping on champagne before going through an underground vault to admire the artfully displayed pieces. The collection, now available at Colette, is sure to become a favorite amongst French It girls.

Meanwhile, online fashion website Mytheresa.com also hosted a cocktail party celebrating its latest jewelry collaboration with designer JJ Martin, named “La Double J Curates.” To mark the occasion, Mytheresa welcomed friends into a private penthouse designed by Jacques Grange, situated on the fashion capital’s notorious Île Saint-Louis. There,Elizabeth Olsen, Caroline de Maigret, Daisy Lowe, Suzy Menkes, Veronika Heilbrunner, and more toasted the new jewelry line while catching up with each other and enjoying a quiet moment away from couture’s busy schedule.

Amongst colorful patterns and decorative zigzags, the Missoni family was all on hand to open their new flagship store on Paris’s famed Rue Saint-Honoré. “Even if I remember the old one since I was a child, I’m already attached to the new boutique. I have to say, I feel at home here!’ commented Teresa Maccapani Missoni, wearing a wonderful Missoni maxi dress. Friends and Missoni fans such as Giambattista Valli, Stefano Tonchi, Anna Dello Russo, Mia Moretti, Audrey Marnay, Clotilde Courau, and Catherine Baba were also in attendance and were entranced by the video installation created especially for the event by Chilean artist Eduardo Guelfenbein. Following the cocktail, those nearest and dearest to the Missoni clan made their way to La Petite Chaise for dinner, closing a very busy night in the City of Light.
