Emma Corrin, a true fashion star, rarely misses on the red carpet—whether they’re in a baggy suit, or a Miu Miu cardigan and briefs. Tonight, the actor delivered yet another style win at The Crown’s season six finale event in London. Having portrayed Princess Diana in season four of the hit Netflix series, Corrin is no stranger to the show—but the star pulled out all of the fashion stops for this latest appearance. The actor pulled off a pantless tuxedo, but in their own way.
Styled by Harry Lambert, Corrin wore a custom statement look by Miu Miu that was all about tailored sheerness. (The look was inspired by a white suit Princess Diana wore in Italy in 1985.) The ensemble included a crisp, white double-breasted tuxedo jacket, paired with the classic white shirt and bow-tie. On the bottom, however, Corrin forwent a traditional pair of trousers in favor of a light, gauzy skirt that was floor-length and totally transparent. To play off the skirt, Corrin wore a pair of sheer black gloves, and then grounded the whole thing with hefty, below-the-knee platform boots.
Given the pantless trend is taking over Hollywood (even well into the fall!), it’s no surprise that Corrin was an early adopter of the look, and still going strong with it: After all, bold risk-taking is part of Corrin’s red carpet M.O. Besides, who needs pants when you look this good?
