The record-breaking temperatures sweeping the Northeast have led many to find new and inventive ways to layer. Gigi Hadid recently topped off a jumpsuit with leggings in Manhattan. In the same vein, Emily Ratajkowski tried a coat over pants. Now it seems creative layering is reaching as far as the West Coast—where Hailey Baldwin was having dinner last night. When the model left the restaurant on Monday, she managed to move a super hot tube top into relatively chilly territory for Hollywood.
Baldwin’s party top came packed with structural elements like visible front seams and sheer paneling at the sides, lending it a lingerie feel. She added an ankle-slimming overcoat for warmth, but let it casually hang off one shoulder for a flirty flash of bare shoulder. From there, she cinched a pair of high-waisted jeans with a Chanel belt boasting a bejeweled buckle, then tucked her pants into over-the-knee boots that had a subtle animal-print finish. All she would need to do is swap her stilettos for, say, a lug-sole boot to transition the ensemble into cooler climates.
