Hailey Bieber took a saucy page from Katie Holmes’s epic cashmere bra and cardigan moment last September while stepping out with Kendall Jenner today in Los Angeles. As a refresher, Ms. Holmes wore an oatmeal-colored cashmere knit bra paired with a chunky knit cardigan by Khaite. As she hailed a cab, the cardigan, fastened by one button, ever-so-slightly slid off her shoulder to expose the bra. Call it the image seen ‘round the world.
Fast forward a little over a year later, Bieber is channeling the same combination, albeit sans buttons. Bieber’s version was Jacquemus in a golden wheat color, and the cardigan was left wide open to show off the minimalist cashmere bra. She paired the cozy duo with high-waisted denim jeans and a braided brown belt. For a pop of color and a bit of that ’90s flair, she opted for square-toe orange kitten heel sandals.
And as for Mrs. Bieber’s companion, Kendall Jenner, she opted for the classic supermodel signature white tank that showed off a slice of midriff. For an optimal ’90s look, she paired the top with a pair of high-waisted, wide-leg jeans and polished it off with pointy cream boots and a Gucci, monogram shoulder bag. Call them two peas in a navel-baring pod.
