Hannah Ferguson has fond memories of her childhood, running around in utilitarian Wranglers on a small farm in Texas. “As kids, my parents were like, ‘Oh, can’t wear tight jeans,’ ” she recalls. “As I got older, I wanted to show off my curves in stretchy flared jeans, so as soon as I started working, I was going to the mall and buying the tight pants,” she says, laughing giddily.
To this day, Ferguson prefers the ’70s silhouettes that are happily in fashion now—much like the roller-disco AG jumpsuit she is wearing here. “I actually really love jumpsuits a lot,” she says. “You just throw it on and you’re good to go.” Meanwhile, she dreads the return of the low-rise pants she wore in high school. “I remember at the time being like, ‘The lower, the better,’ and now I’m like, ‘It’s terrible,’ ” she says, laughing once more. “The high waist is so sexy and empowering—I hope the low waist never comes back.” With a jumpsuit this nice, why should it have to?
