I don t Know How to Respond To That is the answer we have all received at least once when we asked our virtual assistants (like Apple Siri) a question they couldn t find the answer to. This third edition of PhMuseum Days International Photo Festival, taking place in Bologna from 22 September to 1 October 2023, will investigate the interconnection between humans and machine. The Festival s aim is to investigate our relationship with technology and its rapid and ever-changing innovations, and to question what roots our communication with it.
You can now apply to the festival s open call and share how you depict this theme.
All approaches are welcome. In your application, you can also send links to videos or installation shots. At least 4 projects for individual shows, up to 40 images for a collective installation, and up to 20 works for the projections will be selected, with the fundamental advisorship of last year s exhibiting artists Carla Liesching, Marcelo Brodsky, Sara Palmieri. As an applicant you can have a free daily pass to attend the festival.
The individual exhibition prize recipients will receive a production budget, plus an artist fee. Travel and accommodation expenses (to attend the main weekend on 22-24 September 2023) will be covered.
If you apply early, you can take advantage of the discount.
