In the lineup of hip-hop newbies currently on tour with Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa is rising Californian R&B star Jhené Aiko. It’s the first time Aiko is hitting the road with her new album Twenty88—the title of which is a nod to the year she was born—and the singer has packed a wardrobe of ’90s-inspired fashion hits to match; think statement pieces from Coogi, Moschino, and Tommy Hilfiger. “The entire tour wardrobe was inspired by Coachella and the colorful vibrations of the festival,” said her stylist, Ade Samuel. “We wanted to play with colors, prints, and accessories, and layer on jewelry to add color.” Here, the singer and her stylist break down the secret sauce behind her on-stage style.
