Kate Moss’s Feet Are Firmly Planted in the ’00s

Beware, the depths of ’00s fashion continue to be plundered. But if anyone’s going to lead us into the light, it’s Kate Moss.

The model has been keeping busy this fashion month: From turning out to witness Calvin Klein’s runway return in New York with Calvin Klein himself at her side, to celebrating her new role as the face of Donna Karan Spring 2025 during London Fashion Week, and gossiping on the front row of Stella McCartney with Cameron Diaz in Paris. All the while, amid this cultural and temporal span, Moss has been stepping out in looks that speak to her expansive and most dominant role—as a style icon across multiple eras.

Photographed heading from the Ritz to the Isabel Marant show in Paris, Moss wore a head-to-toe look from the designer that incapsulated the Fall 2025 collection’s sexy and unapologetic, chicly come undone attitude. She wore an oversized leather bomber jacket with a sheer black top underneath, lacy silk shorts, and fishnets. The focal point, though, was her footwear: A pair of silver studded black and baggy stiletto ankle boots. It all felt very “few drinks at Annabel’s and see where the night takes us.”

It’s hard not to think of Isabel Marant and give yourself a jumpscare thinking of the footwear the French brand heralded in the early ’00s—the wedge sneaker has been trying to make a comeback. Thankfully, the studded heels that Moss has donned don’t instil the same fear. They’re slouchy and sexy, and speak to Marant’s contemporary stylistic codes and sensibilities that revel in uncompromising feminine strength—and, of course, celebrate what creative director Kim Bekker calls “the super leggy.”

Moss is now the face of Marant’s spring summer 2025 campaign, in which she is described as the “perfect embodiment of the house’s effortless allure.”

The previous day, Moss delved further into the Boho revival with a pair of clompy platform mules from Stella McCartney to sit front row at the designer’s Fall 2025 show. She paired the noughties nostalgia shoe with skinny jeans and a leather jacket for maximum effect.

So what’s next for Kate Moss? The aforementioned wedge sneaker was never her style, but slouchy silhouettes and platform stompers feel like they could become a part of her regular shoe rotation once again.
