Margot Robbie delivered a true fashion spectacle with the Barbie press tour this summer. Whether she was channeling an ’80s business Barbie or a regal ’90s Barbie, her impressive wardrobe—method dressing at its finest!—was styled by Andrew Mukamal and complete with loads of pink. But that was then. Yesterday, the actor was spotted hitting up the San Vicente Bungalows in L.A., and it seems that Robbie officially retired her vibrant Barbie style for good. Her new fall look is all about subtle suiting.
Robbie slipped into a gray three-piece-suit from Mango that was sleek and polished. By forgoing a shirt underneath the vest, it instantly felt ready for a nice night out—a fresh alternative to, say, an LBD. It’s not the first time Robbie has sported the suit, either: She wore it last year, with black pumps. This time around, she paired the sleek outfit with a plush brown leather bag, pointed suede pumps, and layered gold necklaces.
The understated look is a drastic departure from the bubblegum-pink gowns she was rocking at the Barbie premieres this summer. But did you really expect Robbie to continue living a plastic-fantastic life once the movie came out? Our bet’s on Robbie avoiding pink for a long good while. At least, for fall. She even took a style cue from Meghan Markle with her pumpkin spice-colored accessories.
