The co-founders of Farfetch-owned fashion brand platform New Guards Group (NGG), Davide De Giglio and Andrea Grilli, are stepping back from their leadership roles, prompting a reshuffle.
Cristiano Fagnani will take over from Grilli as CEO of Off-White, the fashion brand founded by the late Virgil Abloh. A former Nike executive, Fagnani joined NGG in 2020 as chief marketing officer and in May 2023 became CEO of its new business acceleration division NGG++, which facilitates Reebok’s European partnership. He will remain in the latter role alongside his position at Off-White.
Stephanie Phair has been appointed as chair of NGG — a newly created role. She will remain Farfetch group president. Phair founded The Outnet while an executive at Net-a-Porter, has held roles with Issey Miyake and Vogue, and was chair of the British Fashion Council from 2018 to 2022. There are no plans to directly replace De Giglio as CEO of NGG.
The leadership of the other NGG brands — including Palm Angels, Heron Preston and Opening Ceremony — remains unchanged.
“I would like to thank Davide and Andrea for their dedicated leadership over the past four years, and for building a very strong team of successors to continue driving the strategy and operations of NGG,” said Farfetch founder, chair and CEO José Neves in a statement. Farfetch acquired NGG for $675 million in 2019.
