Welcome to the Juniverse. This week, Chioma sat down with June Ambrose, the iconic costume designer and creative director of Puma. I learned so much from listening to this interview: June has been behind the scenes for so many of the most legendary moments in hip-hop history, from music videos to movies, so it was only fitting to have her in on the eve of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. She tells Chioma about growing up in the Bronx and working with everyone from Jay-Z to Diddy; shares the details behind Missy Elliott’s famous inflatable suit; and spills on the accessory she always has on hand to complete her outfit.
