It’s a big week in fashion. First, we unveiled our March cover featuring none other than the actually iconic Miuccia Prada. Writer Wendell Steavenson flew to Venice to interview the designer, and then later met her at her home in Milan. On this episode of The Run-Through With Vogue, I spoke to Steavenson about how the story came together, and yes, what she wore to interview Mrs. Prada. The conversation kicks off a series on the podcast about the women whose clothes we want to wear, a theme in Vogue’s March issue. Over the course of the next week, you will also hear interviews with Martine Rose, Victoria Beckham, Rachel Scott, and Gabriela Hearst. But first, today’s podcast is a “Mrs. Prada 101” of sorts. (Did you know she was a mime?)

Also on this episode: Fashion week just wrapped in New York, and the Vogue Runway team dishes about the best things they saw in the city—from Willy Chavarria’s film-and-show that set the standard for the season, to Anna Sui’s special show in The Strand’s rare book room and Luar’s show-stopping Bushwick extravaganza, where the only thing more major than the clothes was the fact that Beyoncé, Solange, and Mrs. Tina sat front row.
