Here at Vogue, it’s easy to think that Fashion Week is the center of the universe, but just a few blocks away, our canine friends are primping for the biggest show of their year: the Westminster Kennel Club. Vogue sent photographer Philippe Jarrigeon behind the scenes earlier this week to meet just a handful of the 3,000 dogs who have traveled to New York City from all over the country—from Red, the Rhodesian ridgeback from Dover, Pennsylvania, to Jeannie, a handsome shar-pei from Greenville, South Carolina—to flaunt their style. Like our favorite supermodels, these dogs have personality, charisma, and they know how to work it in front of a camera. Click below to see who caught our eye. As Coco Chanel once said, “Fashion is ephemeral, but style is eternal.”
