Words and images by Julien Soulier
PeriFeria is an off-frame chronicle of Spain’s most iconic flamenco celebration. Because the Feria is not a place , it is, above all, a way of seeing.
This series presents the work of photographer and director Julien Soulier, who captures what the Feria reveals when it no longer knows it’s being watched. It is a free and sensitive exploration of ordinary gestures, sideways glances, in-between moments, and faces far removed from tourist clichés. In this way, Soulier shows that even at the heart of the Feria, there is a PeriFeria.
