CondéFuture
CondéFuture, led by Condé Nast’s creative and editorial teams, is a new global initiative that aims to inspire and nurture future generations of multimedia creative talent. Launched in New York City in 2021 in partnership with the non-profit organization Educational Alliance, the program targets high school students from underrepresented communities providing a free, two-year enrichment and mentorship program, led by talent within the Condé Nast community. Through interactions with industry professionals from brands like Vogue, Allure, Teen Vogue, them., GQ, and more, students explore their passions in photography, video, social media, fashion, digital design, and beyond. CondéFuture s mission is to unleash the creative spirit within each student, supporting their journey towards college and career aspirations. CondéFuture, alongside PhotoVogue, as part of Condé Nast s Education and Editorial Initiatives, strives to create opportunities for individuals historically underrepresented in media by promoting visual literacy and knowledge sharing, and showcasing new talent. Participants have the invaluable opportunity to learn from and be mentored by Condé Nast professionals, opening doors to potential internships and job prospects within the industry.
When asked about CondéFuture, Christiane Mack, the program founder and Chief Content Operations Officer at Condé Nast, said:
“I wasn’t sure what to expect from a group of teenagers who have never had the opportunity to work inside the creative industry, especially after witnessing how the pandemic set back students, not to mention society as a whole. What transpired is nothing short of phenomenal. I am in awe of what the CondéFuture cohort was able to accomplish, and how each created entirely original work to not only reflect their identities, interests, and experience, but their pursuits as well. I have no doubt that they will use these early CondéFuture steps to make leaps and bounds towards future growth and success. I am so incredibly proud!"
With the support of PhotoVogue, CondéFuture students and alumni will now have the opportunity to showcase selected photography and video pieces at the PhotoVogue Festival.
PhotoVogue Festival is a project directed by Alessia Glaviano (Head of Global PhotoVogue) and co-curated by Francesca Marani (Senior Photo Editor, Vogue Italia), Chiara Bardelli Nonino (Editor, Writer and Curator), Daniel Rodríguez Gordillo (Content Operations Strategy Manager, Condé Nast) and Caterina De Biasio (Visual Editor, PhotoVogue)
