The PhotoVogue Festival, the first conscious fashion photography festival that focuses on the common ground between ethics and aesthetics, returns for its eighth edition. From March 6th to 9th, 2025, BASE Milano will host a series of exhibitions and talks analysing the interrelation between humans and Nature, and the relations of kinship we can create with animals, complemented by satellite events at the city s finest galleries.

Moderated by Nina Van Brunt.

Featuring artists from The Tree of Life: A Love Letter to Nature and Latin America Panorama, this panel includes Claire Rosen, Xavi Bou, Lucrezia Testa Iannilli, Benedetta Casagrande, Ramona Wang, Mauro Curti, Ronald Pizzoferrato, and Juan Francisco Sanchez. In the segment The Story Behind the Image, each artist will present their work, sharing personal narratives and insights into their creative processes as their images are projected on a large screen.

The ensuing discussion, guided by Nina Van Brunt’s expertise, will explore how photography can serve as a powerful tool for activism, fostering empathy and advocating for animal rights. The panelists will share their experiences documenting animal sanctuaries, capturing interspecies connections, and challenging societal norms surrounding animal treatment. Together, they will illuminate the transformative role of visual storytelling in promoting compassion and driving social change.
