Participation Selection Criteria

The masterclass will invite 20–25 artists, chosen exclusively from PhotoVogue’s 2025 open calls. Participants will represent a wide range of countries, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

Selections will focus on narrative strength and creative vision, rather than predefined styles or themes. The goal is to cultivate the next generation of visual creators with both local authenticity and international relevance.

For emerging photographers, this masterclass offers more than just technical training—it’s a platform for exploring identity, storytelling, and representation. By bringing this initiative to Taipei, PhotoVogue and Vogue Taiwan are creating a space for Asian artists to challenge global narratives and share their unique voices with the world.
