Resplendent in hot pink, Simone Ashley took her first BAFTAs in stride. Due to set our screens alight in the second series of Bridgerton (which airs March 25), the 26-year-old actor paired her fuchsia Valentino jumpsuit with a smoldering-but-natural beauty look.

“I wanted to embrace her heritage,” makeup artist Valeria Ferreira tells Vogue of the look. “I worked with deep chocolate browns and amber strobes to bring out her features.” Creating a soft-focus winged eyeshadow, Ferreira made sure to frame Ashley’s eyes: “I used one of my favorite mascaras, Lancôme’s Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara, to create airy and fluffy eyelashes too.”

Hairstylist Peter Lux was behind Ashley’s tumble of dark, glossy waves. Working with the hair-care brand Amika, one of his star products was its Glass Action serum, which he ran through her hair to add shine, definition and tame any flyaways.

The finishing touch? “A bit of gloss on her lips to complement her luscious hair,” says Ferreira.
