Fashion girls of all aesthetics have embraced the style for a few seasons now, starting with girls in Copenhagen rocking Havaianas with bouncy Cecilie Bahnsen dresses to this season’s controversial Dune flats from The Row. At times sultry, at times bohemian, lace brought romance to the spring runways. For a less precious take on styling, I like the idea of pairing it with pieces that feel almost counterintuitive, be it a baby tee and flip-flops with a lace-trimmed skirt, or a paracord anklet peeking out from a fluid trouser.
Tassels
Tassels are the texture of summer! But not as you know them. This is bohemian for the minimalist girl; think chic, monochromatic pendant necklaces, decorative pochettes perfect for summer evenings, and even caftans worn with loose, fluid pants. Here’s another summer trend that has become a mainstay. Shell accents—seashell jewelry in particular—are one way to instantly turn simple warm-weather wear into full-on summer-ready ensembles.
