Long before the words quiet luxury were ever uttered, The Row established itself as the archetype of anonymous chic. When Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen launched their brand The Row in 2006, the goal was to create the perfect T-shirt. It’s safe to say that the mission has been accomplished and then some. The Row has become synonymous with effortless, wearable luxury.
The Row Handbag Checklist
In fact, the name of the label itself is rooted in sartorial excellence, paying homage to London’s high-class Savile Row, the British road known for producing impeccably tailored men’s suiting and exceptional fabrics. Over the years, that same attention to detail married with a love of simple silhouettes has carried over from clothing and into The Row’s coveted collection of handbags.
From the ’90s bag to the Bourse, many of The Row’s luxurious styles offer a no-fuss attitude that we’ve come to love from the brand. Ahead, we take a deep dive into all of the need-to-know silhouettes to add to your closet.
The Marlo
Meet the Marlo, The Row’s slouchier answer to the (no-longer-in-stock!) Margaux. This (for now) under-the-radar tote offers the same effortless elegance but with a more relaxed frame. Its pliable structure and exaggerated size make it the kind of bag you can toss everything into—and still look polished.
The Park Tote
Not too many good things came out of the year 2020, but The Row gave us a glimmer of sartorial hope with the debut images of The Park tote. The celebrated design was part of the spring 2021 collection, and it stays true to the label’s lust for utterly simple designs with a streamlined bucket silhouette (some styles come in an elongated shape, aptly titled N/S for north-south) and a wide flat handle strap that offers wear-all-day comfort. The highlight of everything The Row designs is, of course, the materials: This bag is crafted from a malleable leather that ages beautifully.
The India
The Row’s India bag, launched in 2025, has become an instant classic. With its softly structured silhouette, rolled top handles, and subtle padlock accent, the India toes the line between heritage elegance and modern minimalism. Offered in an array of rich hues and sizes (from petite to plus-size carryall), it’s quickly becoming the next must-have for collectors of the brand.
The Bourse
Introduced as part of The Row’s winter 2025 collection, the Bourse is a study in quiet versatility. The ruched clutch is offered in three sizes and a concise palette of the house’s signature color ways, with a discreet, adjustable shoulder strap concealed within its construction. Designed for movement rather capacity, it’s a bag best suited for evenings out or long walks through the city.
The Ingrid
Debuting on The Row’s resort 2026 runway, the Ingrid reads as a more spacious evolution to the India bag. The silhouette borrows from the classic bowling bag, complete with top handles, polished hardware, and a leather charm that adds a quiet detail. A zip closure keeps your essentials neatly contained, while the saddle leather promised a slow break in that will payoff with time and wear.
The Alger Tote
A newer addition to The Row’s lineup, the Alger exemplifies the brand’s devotion to craftsmanship. Defined by supple leather, hand-stitched detailing, and a gently curved profile, this shoulder style feels both understated and architectural. Offered in the house’s signature neutrals, it strikes a careful balance—minimalist yet unmistakably luxurious, practical yet poetic—and signals where The Row is taking its bags next.
The Marcel
A pared-back response to the Marlo, the Marcel offers the same sensibility in a smaller, more streamlined form. Available in two sizes and in the brand’s core colorways (black and dark brown) the top handle and overlap construction are designed to soften with use, taking on character without losing composure.
The Izzy
Shown during the resort 2026 presentation, the Izzy bag taps into the season’s relaxed mood with slouchy proportions. Offered in three shapes (classic, north/south, and east/west), the silhouette feels familiar yet fresh. Presented in a tight edit of colorways, it’s the kind of bag that settles quickly into your daily rotation.
The Peggy
A recent arrival to The Row’s lineup, the Peggy offers a more disciplined counterpoint to the ’90s bag. Its minimalist, structured silhouette and removable strap allow it to function equally as a clutch or shoulder bag. Understated yet confident, the style has already developed a following—so choose your shade quick!
The 90s
Timeless isn’t always the antithesis of trendy. The Row checked both boxes with the release of its ’90s bag. The nostalgic design feels like a staple that a supermodel would have worn just before the Y2K era, and that retro silhouette continues to be a favorite among today’s It girls, like Kendall Jenner.
The Bindle
Like many of The Row’s bags, the Bindle belongs to a family. A slouchy hobo bag that recalls the aesthetic that first drew the world to the Olsen sisters’ style, the Bindle was first released in 2016. The Bindle 2, which featured a double knot on its strap, followed two years later, and more recently, we have been blessed with the Bindle 3, which features a softly padded handle in lieu of the continuous strap of its predecessors. All three styles are unlined and fabricated from supple calf leather, suede, or a glossy, shiny coated sheepskin leather.
The Sisal
For those who missed out on the Idaho (or love theirs so much they want to give it a companion), the Sisal offers a compelling alternative. Newly introduced, the canvas carryall is designed for everyday use; a prime example of how even the most utilitarian shapes can feel intentional and fashion-forward when filtered through The Row’s lens. Offered in a variety of colorways (we love the black with contrast stitching), this bag is sure to sell out quick.
The Half Moon
The Row took design to the next level with its Half Moon bag. The curvy silhouette is ergonomically designed to fit snug under the shoulder. Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski are just a few of the many celebrities who are proud owners and constant wearers of the sleek design. And if you’re thinking it’s just a bag of the moment, think again. This one has been around for nearly 10 years now, making its initial debut in 2014.
The Rene
Defined by its small rectangular shape, slim crossbody strap, and zip closure, the Rene is designed with evenings in mind. Faithful to the house’s codes, it reflects The Row’s commitment to restraint and precision—proof that less if often more.
The Annie
This season, The Row continues to build its case for the crossbody. The Annie arrives as a softer interpretation, offered in both east/west and north/south iterations. Finished in black and smoked taupe, it integrates seamlessly into your winter wardrobe, understated yet considered.
