Vogue Ukraine and PhotoVogue announce FUTURESPECTIVE 2025 Finalists

Vogue Ukraine, in partnership with PhotoVogue, is pleased to announce the 15 finalists of Futurespective 2025—an initiative dedicated to supporting Ukrainian art and fashion photographers on the international stage.

Launched on January 1st as an open call, the initiative received 676 applications from Ukrainian artists around the world. A shortlist of photography submissions—celebrated for their diverse storytelling about Ukraine and beyond—was announced on March 15th.

This year’s international jury featured photographers Brett Lloyd and Carlijn Jacobs; art directors Ezra Petronio and Lana Petrusevych; Vogue’s global creative director Raul Martinez; Björn Geldhof, artistic director of the PinchukArtCentre; Peter Doroshenko, director of the Ukrainian Museum; and Alessia Glaviano, head of Global PhotoVogue. Together, they selected 15 finalists working across a variety of categories and media.

The submissions were praised by the jury for their artistic merit and thematic diversity. Vena Brykalin, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Ukraine, stated, “The Class of 2025 represents our country s powerful creative voices, reflecting on its present and envisioning its future. We look forward to welcoming these exciting talents to Vogue Ukraine pages.”

The laureates received special nominations:

Jury Choice — Elena Subach: A special commission for Vogue Ukraine Edition (2025) and a UAH 100,000 grant.

Discovery of the Year — Alina Prisich: A project with Vogue Ukraine (2025), a UAH 100,000 grant, and mentorship from Brett Lloyd.

Special View — Vic Bakin: A UAH 100,000 grant from KERNEL to develop a new series, the world’s leading producer and exporter of sunflower oil and Ukraine’s largest grain producer and exporter.
