If you ever wanted to tap into the effortless, studio-to-street wardrobe of model and actress Kaia Gerber, now is your chance. Vuori By Kaia, a six-piece collection in collaboration between Gerber and the California-based activewear and lifestyle brand, launches on August 26—and for 24 hours only, Vogue readers can claim first dibs on everything, ahead of the official public premiere.
“I wanted each piece to reflect my real life—how I move through the day, what I reach for first thing in the morning, and what I feel most myself in,” Gerber tells Vogue. “I’ve always loved that effortless style from the ‘90s and early 2000s—those low-rise yoga pants, tiny tanks, and sporty looks that felt cool without trying too hard—but I found myself missing pieces that had that same vibe while still being truly functional.”
For Gerber, these gaps included the core foundations for the capsule—seamless camisoles and haltertops, to pair back to low-rise leggings, foldover pants, and micro shorts—all capturing her signature minimalist style with a dash of retro inspiration. “A lot of activewear today is either super high-performance or super fashion-y, but rarely both,” she explains. “I wanted to create something that felt nostalgic and elevated, but still moved with you and made sense in a modern lifestyle. That was the gap—and Vuori helped me fill it.” Available in a palette of black, white, and a particular shade of blue, entitled Blue Coast, Gerber is obsessed with the way this hue “has a vintage feel but still feels really fresh.”
Produced with Vuori’s unparalleled, high-performance materials, Gerber is most excited about the BlissBlend fabric. “Once you put it on, you don’t want to take it off,” she says. “It’s soft, and somehow still supportive.” Having personally tested with her trainer Kirsty Godso, the two ensured each item can be worn for nearly every kind of workout—from strength training, to Pilates-inspired moves, and cardio intervals. “What stood out was how the BlissBlend fabric held its shape but still moved with us—it didn’t ride up or slip around,” she says. “The support in the halter and cami tops is amazing, and everything felt secure but never restrictive.
She insists the pieces shouldn’t be reserved solely for gym time, either. “You can sweat in these pieces, and then walk straight to lunch in them,” she says, highlighting their versatility. “I’ve been wearing the Shorty with fitted tanks or oversized zip-ups—perfect for warm days when you want something minimal but still styled,” she says, also recommending pairing with jackets, oversized button-downs, and sneakers or flats to elevate the look.
