The campaign for best supporting actress across 2025’s awards season has been tough—and the fashion stakes made even higher. On that road, Zoe Saldaña’s wardrobe has encompassed classic glamor and artisanship, including two Margiela haute couture gowns and a swathe of Saint Laurent. (The latter house’s production company, Saint Laurent Productions, co-produced and costumed Emilia Pérez.) Up for—and winning!—best supporting actress at last night’s Critics Choice Awards, Saldaña once again showed her deepening relationship with the French house.

Zoe Saldaña was up against (The equally well-dressed) Isabella Rossellini, Margaret Qualley, Danielle Deadwyler, Ariana Grande, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor in the category. “To my fellow nominees, the films this year and the work you’ve all done. It’s breathtaking,” she said when accepting the award. “I will forever be proud to be among you. Thank you to all of you. I can’t see you, but you… Rock.”

She wore a fiery red custom Saint Laurent dress by Anthony Vaccarello, with draped shoulder pads and a flowing skirt. The dress had a surprise open back, held together by singular button and a black bow. Saldaña was styled by her longtime collaborator, stylist Petra Flannery. She also wore a satin choker and Cartier jewelry. Her beauty, too, kept to the “ultra-modern” glam that hairstylist Mara Roszak has been fostering with each appearance, with a super-long, slicked back ponytail.

Saint Laurent designer Vaccarello’s presence on the Critics Choice red carpet was expansive too, as nominee Nicole Kidman donned a more masculine, structured tailored suit from the spring 2025 collection to cosplay as her Babygirl co-star.

For the Golden Globes—where she also took the best supporting actress win—Saldaña wore an espresso brown Saint Laurent sequin gown with a plunging sweetheart neckline, accessorized with Cartier jewelry and Saint Laurent bag and shoes. A winner’s wardrobe that keeps on winning.
