See by Chloé

PRE-FALL 2014

By Clare Waight Keller

Clare Waight Keller likes to have fun at See by Chloé. With their eclectic styling and whimsical patterns, her first two collections for Chloé s secondary line appealed to girls with attitude who aren t afraid to mix things up or stand out from the crowd. For Pre-Fall, that sense of playfulness came across in vibrant novelty prints including quirky foxes and artichokes, which were splashed on silk separates like wispy tie-neck blouses, pullovers, and relaxed trousers. Grounding those personality-packed pieces were Prince of Wales checks that added a slight English sensibility to the lineup. We especially liked the look of a cute pair of overalls in the pattern. Echoing the main Chloé line, there was also a couple of strong blanket stripe outfits. This was a sweet collection, with a bite—right on point for SBC.
