The tropics provided inspiration, both direct (coral-hued tweeds, beaded embroideries meant to evoke water bubbles) and subtle (a little navy liquid jersey number that slipped teasingly off the shoulder). But Roy didn t let ease completely preclude structure; work-friendly jackets and dresses for both day and night featured the neat, strong shoulder that the designer said she favors for herself these days. An abbreviated body-loving dress with latex scuba piping and a surprise slash cutout at the back is guaranteed to make a splash.
