It made for another cute offering from the designer, who s increasingly used this secondary line as a place to explore kicky femininity while his main line wrestles with darker or flashier themes. It was hard to read anything but good cheer here, not that that s anything to complain about. He offered his usual tweaks to keep things interesting. Denim is like a second skin to American girls, but what looks like it at Addition is actually a surprise: It s Tencel and silk, with the look of well-worn chambray. His take on the twinset is a cotton knit tee overlaid with a long-tailed vest in mismatched tension colors, fuchsia and orange. Stars and stripes forever. This girl literally had stars sewn into her shirts and stamped out of her broderie anglaise.
