Moreau Roxane
Spotlight
New-York, United States of America
Roxane Moreau is a photographer with a main interest in portraiture. She was born in 1994 in Reunion Island, a volcanic land located in the Indian Ocean.
Moreau doesn't believe in the decisive moment of a picture or in those that might escape us. She trusts in the power of collaboration, sharing and the mutual trust that is necessary to make a portrait. Like entries in someone's diary, her images are an invitation into her intimacy; her portraits reveal as much about herself as about her subjects. They tell the untold story of the time in which she lives, highlighting women's resilience as her main interest.
She currently attends the Creative Practices Program at the International Center of Photography (ICP) and lives in New York.
