10 Best Dressed: Week of April 3, 2017
Last week saw the most fashion-forward among us taking dressing-up cues from bygone eras: Victorian lace, balletic layers of tulle, and a Seurat-ish twist on romantic dottiness. Everyone just looked so darn pretty, from Alexa Chung and the Duchess of Cambridge at the National Portrait Gallery Gala to Emma Roberts en route to film The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. But the real style star was the nearly naked strappy sandal—a feminine non-shoe shoe—that gave even the most demure dress an extra inch of lo-fi, cool-girl know-how just in time for spring.
