Behold, the midst of fashion month and the siren call of the new. Pleats look cool and appropriate day and night, but for real drama, it’s all about the saloon-girl style in the city. An urban palette with all that bareness and fringe is hot! For actual heat—the temperatures in Manhattan hovered around 90 degrees—the coolest approach was to dress like a modern princess in pastel suede and metallics and ruffles aplenty.
