From Rashid Johnson to Jordan Casteel to Henry Taylor, All the Artists Who Attended the 2025 Met Gala

The first Monday in May celebrations reliably draw an extremely creative crowd, and this year was no exception. At the 2025 Met Gala, a veritable who’s-who of artistic talent stepped out to celebrate the Costume Institute’s spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
Many of the artists in attendance at the 2025 Met Gala left their mark on the night’s proceedings, from Torkwase Dyson (who designed the exhibition space for “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”) to Cy Gavin (who helmed the event’s decor alongside Derek McLane and Raúl Àvila) and Tanda Francis (who sculpted two bespoke mannequin heads for the exhibition). Others, like Henry Taylor and Tyler Mitchell, contributed their singular artistic visions to portraits of this year’s co-hosts for the May issue of Vogue.
Below, find a roundup of all the artists who were in attendance in their Tailored for You best (and really, who can nail a dress code better than an artist?).
