A childhood spent on her family’s sheep farm led Kirsten Carriol to create an entire skin-care range packed with medical-grade lanolin, a powerful moisturizer extracted from freshly shorn wool. Lano’s Original 101 Ointment is a multitasking “superbalm” that soothes dry lips and patchy skin and triples as a cuticle cream; plus, it’s vegetarian- and baby-approved.

Launched by five friends on Instagram, where they immediately found a strong following, Frank Body’s coffee-based line was inspired by Melbourne’s vibrant coffee culture. The flagship coffee scrub is a blend of roasted and ground robusta beans—the caffeine is said to stimulate blood flow to reduce cellulite—and exfoliating sea salt, plus hydrating cold-pressed sweet almond oil and antioxidant vitamin-E extracts.

According to founder Katy Beeson, Theseeke’s artisanal line, handcrafted in Sydney, is meant to transform skin care into a “ritual,” both healthful and indulgent. Think: a tin of dried rosebuds and calendula flowers to add a botanical bent to a steam facial, or a detoxifying dry clay mask that asks you to mix rosehip powder with organic yogurt, honey, tea, or water to soothe sensitive skin.

Melbourne-based founder Kim Peirce launched her vegan dry scrub line with a food-grade coffee version, whose organic ingredients—fresh coffee, sugar, himalayan pink mineral salts, and almond oil—are pure enough to be brewed and drunk. A selection of whipped body soufflés came next, with sweet almond and macadamia oil and crisp mandarin and violet scents that smell equally delicious.

From her home base on Bondi Beach, naturalist Carla Oates put her organic skin-care and food background into a line that promises to generate beauty from the inside out, with four superfood and probiotic-filled powders to be spooned into smoothies. Oates also launched three liquid shots to be taken daily: The Hydration version comes with coconut water, aloe vera, and lemon myrtle to brighten skin and provide an overall complexion boost.
