The Dryer: “I use a black Parlux 3200, which feels like it has a motorcycle’s engine—it’s lightweight and sleek.”
The Pro Trick: “To blow-dry hair straight, I start by putting Bumble and Bumble All-Style Blow Dry on the ends. Then, I put the nozzle on the dryer and use a flat brush, making sure to get the hair completely dry before I finish. To create volume, I start with damp hair, add Bumble’s Thickening Hairspray, and use a round brush with no nozzle.”

The Dryer: “The Twin Turbo 2800 is the Ferrari of blow-dryers—it’s fast.”
The Pro Trick: “Never apply heat directly to the hair. You should always leave some distance between the blow-dryer and the brush, in order to avoid burning.”

The Dryer: “The Valera Swiss nano ionic is a monster and gets the job done fast without being too loud. I look for power, and a dryer that’s light, compact, and quiet—the Valera is all those things.”
The Pro Trick: “Power-dry to 90 percent, then twist the hair loosely back away from your face on both sides. Use the blow-dryer to finish drying, let the hair cool, and you’ll have loose waves when you take it out.”

The Dryer: “My favorite blow-dryer is, of course, my own Hershesons Professional Ionic Hair Dryer, which I designed. We have worked hard to achieve the perfect balance—lots of speed and lots of heat—to dry hair faster and smoother in less time.”
The Pro Trick: “I always advise rough-drying hair until it’s 99 percent dry, before using a brush or doing any styling. Your hands are a massively underrated styling tool that can do most of the work for you.”
