Best Beauty Advice: My mother persuaded me not to pluck my eyebrows when I was a teenager—right now I’m so grateful I never did! She also taught me to pour 2kg of salt in my bath whenever I feel swollen and tired—and to end it with a cold shower. It does wonders.
Favorite Products You Stole from Your Mom: I mostly stole makeup—hers was way better than mine back in the days. At the time she used a lot of Trish McEvoy eye colors, and I was very much into eye shadows in the late nineties.
Family Beauty Signatures: Neither of us use much makeup and we both have thick, healthy, chestnut hair.

Best Beauty Advice: My mother taught me to always take care of my skin, with a special focus on my face, neck, and décolleté. She never let me go in the sun as a kid, which was very annoying at the time, but now I really appreciate it! When she and I walk on the beach together, we look like we re wearing costumes from Lawrence of Arabia.
Favorite Products You Stole from Your Mom: I used to steal her makeup when I was younger—I remember being particularly fascinated by her NARS eye shadow collection. The colors were so beautiful. I have much more sensitive skin than her, so now I keep to a handful of very specific products—I use Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins skin care. It’s the only thing that doesn’t irritate me.
Family Beauty Signatures: The number-one beauty rule was never to have both eye and lip makeup on—it’s one or the other, not both. Also, simple polished fingernails, and red only on toes.

Best Beauty Advice: “Wash your hair.” My mother constantly is telling me my hair looks greasy. Also, “eat with your mouth closed.”
Beauty Products You Stole from Your Mother: Frédéric Malle s Lys Mediterranee and La Mer lip balm
Family Beauty Signatures: A proclivity for baked goods, which negatively affects general beauty.
