Last night in Shanghai, China, Tiffany Co. held a private opening for their new jewelry exhibition, celebrating iconic pieces from its vault. Titled “Vision Virtuosity,” it opens to the public on September 23 at the city’s Fosun Foundation, and features a variety of dazzling gems to take in, including an in-depth look at the iconic Tiffany Yellow Diamond—in all its 128.54-carat glory —as well as an exploration of the brand’s influence on pop culture, including a whole section devoted to the cult-classic film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The exhibit will showcase around 350 different objects, making it one of the brand’s largest exhibits to date, and includes over 100 objects that have never before been seen by the public.
On hand for a private tour last evening was actress Brie Larson, who stunned on the red carpet in a corseted velvet gown by Rasario. Before hitting the event, however, Larson exclusively documented the soirée’s getting-ready process for Vogue. The prep began with glam, of course, where makeup artist Gia and hairstylist Bryce Scarlett went for a polished evening feel that complemented her dress. Then, Larson’s stylist Samantha McMillen accentuated the look with a dripping array of diamonds by Tiffany Co.; her accessories included, among other pieces, a yellow-green diamond pendant necklace, diamond Art Deco-style earrings, and a diamond bracelet worth a whopping $595,000. “I feel so glamorous tonight,” Larson told Vogue of the ensemble, adding, “I’m so lucky to be able to wear all this gorgeous jewelry.”
