As dinner plates were cleared to make way for dessert, Hedda actress Tessa Thompson tapped into the microphone to get the crowd’s attention. “This room is the perfect opportunity to have a ‘coco crush’ on someone,” she cooed. “In fact, I slid into someone’s DMs this year, because I had a crush on her after listening to her record from front to back. And that person is Lily Allen.”

Feeling the love, the British chart-topper delivered a surprise set—also giving those in attendance a world-premiere of three tracks, as well as Madeline which she recently performed on Saturday Night Live. It wasn’t long before the whole room was singing along to the songs from Allen’s phenomenally successful album West End Girl. “Luckily these aren’t real life experiences…and they definitely didn’t happen in this hotel,” she winked, before introducing the music. Afterwards, she brought the house down with a warranted standing ovation.

Ten years after it was first introduced, the new Coco Crush collection reimagines house codes with the introduction of a choker, short necklace, two-tone earrings, pavé bracelets, and a sculptural cuff, among others. Bringing it to life, the ‘Hide Seek’ film campaign featuring Abrams, Kim, and Tougaard is out now.
