Located in a heavily wooded area near the slopes of Snow King in downtown Jackson, the Cabin is a traditional 1940s log home that sleeps 10 (there are three bedrooms and two baths). The interiors are cozy and rustic, with Navajo rugs over oak floors, large stone hearth with two fireplaces, and locally made furniture, some of which is antique. Outside, the backyard is decorated with comfortable furniture for blanket-wrapped, bonfire-roaring gatherings.

This 2,500-square-foot, three-bedroom home was formerly a Girl Scouts camp lodge where church services and stage performances were held. Revamped a few years back by an architect-and-designer couple, the space has a warm and comfortable modern feel, with a large open living area, stone fireplace, and locally purchased vintage decor, including an ultra-long wooden dining table perfect for entertaining. Nearby is the town of Woodstock, as well as Catskill ski resorts.

The Ski Lodge, as the owners refer to it, is tucked away among tall trees with beautiful mountain views. The four-bedroom house is just a two-minute drive from the ski resort in Alpine Meadows and is situated across the way from a swimming pond and picnic area. It comes equipped with a large patio, a hot tub, and a stone fireplace. This mountain lodge also has modern amenities, including heated floors and a two-car garage.

For those seeking a truly intimate experience, Coal Cabin is the perfect place to find solace. The newly renovated 1950s cabin is set in the sleepy town of Chicester a couple miles from Phoenicia and sleeps up to six guests. There are large floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, and a modern, high-ceilinged living room with a big fireplace. Set on four acres of land, the cabin has lovely mountain views (some of which can be seen from the giant soaking tub in the master bath) and features a private forest just down the hill.

The eight-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bath home looks just like a log cabin should—sturdy, cozy, and perfect for a long winter escape. It’s designed in the style of a luxury ski lodge, with exposed beams and carved wooden archways. There’s an outdoor hot tub big enough for eight, a stone fireplace in the main living area, and a game room with ping-pong and air hockey. Adjacent to the latter is a large ski equipment storage space to keep boots, snowboards, and everything else when you aren’t skiing Mont-Tremblant nearby.
