This Fall, Designers Delight With Dressed-Up Denim

After a year of soft silhouettes and comfortwear, this season designers didn’t want you to forget about the versatility of really good denim. Whether a structured midi skirt, a crisp shirt jacket, an intricately cut dress, or a sleek pair of jeans, fall’s assortment of designer denim is anything but ordinary.

While denim feels familiar to our wardrobes, these iterations don’t lack the unique design details or infusions of a brand’s DNA. Designers have used the casual Americana material on their own terms, and, of course, in their own stylish silhouettes. The trend allows for a much more natural (and practical!) progression of celebrating getting dressed again than, say, a brightly colored minidress or sequined partywear would.
