The Boys of Saint Laurent: Meet Hedi Slimane’s Male Muses Inline

His father, Gary, rose to fame playing Sid Vicious on-screen, and Charlie Oldman carries the punk rock ethos into the next generation. A bleached-blonde clotheshorse with an affinity for vintage, Oldman looks every inch the Saint Laurent lad on his Instagram, where he updates the public with his outfits of the day and glimpses into his life as an L.A. man-about-town.

When Dylan Brosnan made his runway debut back at Saint Laurent’s Spring 2016 menswear show, his famous dad, Pierce, was in the front row to cheer him on. Even without the connection to a onetime James Bond, Brosnan makes for a compelling male model: At 6-foot-3 with sculpted cheekbones and long dark hair, Brosnan is a treat visually, and like every true Slimane boy, he has a musical side. Posting his psychedelic rock songs to SoundCloud and mixing tracks in the studio, Brosnan is gearing up for an EP release down the line.

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s 18-year-old son is the latest It boy to be tapped for a Saint Laurent campaign. Given Dylan Lee’s rock ’n’ roll legacy—he plays guitar, occasionally barefoot on the beach at sunset, much to the delight of his more than 50 thousand Instagram followers—and his love of surfing, he fits right in with Slimane’s set as their resident beach boy. In Slimane’s black-and-white under-pier and surf shots, Lee even seems to channel a bit of Mom’s Baywatch-era sexiness.

As lead singer of White Room, Smallwood’s soulful vocals are what first piqued Slimane’s interest, but his refined look has been put to good use in the designer’s black-and-white photographs for Saint Laurent’s Fall 2014 campaign.

Rising actor Jack Kilmer also has a movie star father (Val) and a Saint Laurent campaign under his belt, but 2016 could prove to be his big year. Starring opposite Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in the forthcoming flick The Nice Guys puts Kilmer on the radar as an actor, but Slimane was there first—Kilmer’s been on his runway and in his campaigns since 2014.
