“The modern art museum on the Grand Canal is one of my favorite museums in the world. It is impeccably curated, and you can’t beat the location. There was an abstract Gio Ponti drawing in an exhibit I saw years ago that really captured my attention and inspired my Graffito pattern.”

“I carve out an afternoon to get lost in this museum every visit to Paris. It never disappoints. The shows and the way they are curated are truly one of a kind: I caught a trompe l’oeil exhibit there a few years back that remains one of my all-time favorite experiences. There was a striking pair of black-and-white boots from the ’60s in the museum’s collection that informed the black-and-white pattern in my design work.”

“This historic Palm Springs estate has remarkable landscaping and architecture. The mixology and repetition in the more than nine acres of sweeping and carefully curated gardens designed by landscape architect James Burnett are so breathtaking. The flowers are like architectural elements because they are sculptural, sturdy, and geometric.”
