Thankfully the NFL kicked off this week, offering a new batch of sportsmen to obsess over. Here, we share eleven excellent excuses to tune into Sunday Night Football this year.

    Team and position: Carolina Panthers Quarterback

    Age: 25

    Known for: This former Heisman Trophy winner has broken all sorts of records throughout his college football and NFL career, including 14 rushing touchdowns, the most ever in a single season by a quarterback in NFL history. His dimples and humble attitude are just two more reasons why this player is considered America’s sweetheart.

    Romantic status: Although he s been linked to a few women in the past, Newton has never officially acknowledged any relationships to the press.

    Team and position: Seattle Seahawks Quarterback

    Age: 25

    Known for: After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Wilson was signed by the Seattle Seahawks and, during his first year with the team, was voted NFL Rookie of the Year. The next year he led the Seahawks to the team’s first-ever Super Bowl victory.

    Romantic status: Wilson is back on the market after filing for divorce from his wife, Ashton Meem, in April.

    Team and position: New England Patriots Quarterback

    Age: 37

    Known for: As the New England Patriots quarterback, Brady has played in five Super Bowls and has led his team to three victories—earning him both the Super Bowl MVP and NFL MVP awards twice. He is also known to clean up nicely on the red carpet.

    Romantic status: Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know Brady is married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen. They have two kids, Benjamin and Vivian Lake, and are reportedly living full-time in Boston.

    Team and position: New York Giants Wide Receiver

    Age: 27

    Known for: Hometown favorite Cruz is known for his speed as a wide receiver and that singular victory salsa dance he performs after scoring a touchdown. He’s also a front row fixture during Fashion Week.

    Romantic status: He’s been with longtime girlfriend Elaina Watley since 2003. Their daughter, Kennedy, was born in 2012—the same year Cruz’s team won the Super Bowl. This summer, he surprised Watley and finally proposed during a small family gathering caught on video

    Team and position: New York Jets Wide Receiver

    Age: 27

    Known for: The multitalented Decker played both football and baseball during his time at the University of Minnesota. He recently moved from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets after reportedly signing a $36.25 million contract.

    Romantic status: Decker is married to country singer Jessie James, and you can follow their lives—and even witness their wedding—on their reality show on E!, _Eric Jessie: Game On._The two just welcomed their first child together, daughter Vivianne Rose, earlier this year.
