USA track and field star Sha Carri Richardson isn’t the only athlete who stopped by the nail salon on the way to the 2024 Olympic Games. (Richardson is known for her dramatic talons—covered in her Vogue’s August digital cover story—and she even displayed a new set at Friday night’s opening ceremony.)
This summer, manicures are popping up across each and every sport. From short red-white-and-blue nails used to send home beach volleyball spikes to neutral, ladylike square nails for artistic gymnastics, here are the best nails on athletes throughout the competitions.
