“Eat a lot of hot soup. I’m from Russia, and I was born and raised in snow. Russian breakfast is a hot soup. If you hate soup in the morning, have hot tea with lemon and mint.”

“Do you know those little French pellets, [Boiron Oscillococcinum]? I take those straightaway if I feel like I’m about to get sick. Otherwise I just try to stay warm and eat healthy.”

“When I’m sick, I avoid drinking coffee completely. It makes me feel way worse. Instead of drinking coffee in the morning, I have a juice. I usually get kale, apple, pineapple, celery, lemon, and ginger. It gets me through the day. [And] I make sure that I eat enough vegetables and protein. I don’t like to go out to eat. I try to stay indoors [and] cook myself dinner.”

“I drink a lot of water and I like to think my coffee helps me! I try and get some good sleep and wear gloves [when it’s cold]. I have some hand warmers to stick inside my gloves to keep my fingers warm. I feel like if my fingers get cold, I’m going to get sick. That’s just a weird thing that I have.”
